What is in those tropic levels?
Tree Level- Contains trees from 60-100ft tall. Some examples are the American Beech,White Birch, or the White Oak.
Sapling or Small Tree Level- They are more tolerant of shade then canopy trees. Some examples are the Dogwood and the Sourwood.
Shrub Level- is made up of bushes such as the Rhododenron and Aazaleas.
Herb Level- contains wild flowers and ferns such as Lady Slippers and Trillum.
Ground Level - includes fallen twigs, leaves, and other dried plants, that decompose and add nutrients to the soil.
